About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Technology Risk Specialist to join our team on a contract basis supporting a large financial institution. This role is ideal for an expert with significant experience in data and technology risk within the financial services sector. As a part of our dynamic consulting firm you will engage in critical projects including regulatory issue validation and live reviews while contributing to various other initiatives as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Data and Technology Risk.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of Internal Audit (IA) regulatory issue validation work for a large financial institution.
• Engage in projects involving Critical Data Elements Data Issues and Actions Data Lineage and Data Modelling.
• Manage projects with a focus on data and technology audits.
• Collaborate on regulatory MRA validations and Consent Orders.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on extensive financial services industry experience.
• Assist in other consulting projects as required by the firm.

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge and expertise in Data and Technology Risk.
• Demonstrated experience with Critical Data Elements Data Issues and Actions Data Lineage and Data Modelling.
• Strong background in financial services is a musthave specifically in regulatory MRA validations and Consent Orders.
• Proven track record in Project Management or Technology audits.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with preference given to candidates based in Irving TX; Charlotte NC; Mississauga ON; or Tampa FL.
• Excellent analytical communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISA CRISC PMP).
