JOB TITLE: Structural Mechanic III Aerospace

LOCATION: Savannah GA

Summary:

• Perform assembly and fitting of parts drilling and riveting; ensure assemblies meet requirements.

• Transition to new tasks with minimal impact on goals and schedule.

• Use various tools for riveting and structural work.

• Remove fasteners without damaging structures.

• Read work orders blueprints and operation sheets.

• Ensure assemblies are defectfree before final inspection.

• Assist in interpreting blueprints and resolving production issues.

• Maintain logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets DMTs PCOs).

• Align and assemble parts using jigs fixtures and fasteners.

• Make repairs and perform rework to ensure conformity.

• Maintain a neat and orderly work area support 5S & Lean initiatives and comply with safety regulations.

• Work independently and support lean activities.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 3 years of structural assembly experience.

• Preferred experience with Solumina and Smarteam; Qstamp preferred.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to read a scale perform basic shop math and comprehend documents.

• Handson aptitude professional attitude attention to detail and ability to meet schedules.

• Good housekeeping and safety practices.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Skilled in close tolerance work and special tools.

• Proficient with mathematical formulas for dimensional problems.

• Ability to work with composite resins and materials.

• Availability to work any shift.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. climb ladders stands stairs and work in confined spaces.
