Job Description
This is a remote position.
Spektra Systems is seeking software developers who possess a passion for solving problems and for emerging technologies. This is a technical role responsible for designing maintaining and ensuring accuracy of reports built from various data sources. You ll have an opportunity to work on the latest and greatest technologies such as Cloud and many more.
As a Developer you are expected to work independently on application development with highlevel guidance/instructions from the lead architect. You will be part of Spektras flagship products engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Review and finetune the existing database architecture.
- Design a new schema to hold data for the product that is evolving every day.
- Keep a tab on the performance of the SQL queries used in the application.
- Ability to create monitoring tasks for effective management of the storage and for enhancing the performance of the application and any other reports that rely on the data.
- Understand fundamentals of data preparation/data modelling necessary for the visualization purpose.
- Capture reporting requirements from various stakeholders architect the solution/report understand/analyze the source data and deliver the reports in timely manner.
- Create Data Sets and Data models to build intelligence upon.
- Strong expertise in designing intuitive and interactive reports/dashboards using Power BI for data driven decisions.
- Develop and own various integration tools and data points.
- Extract Transform and Load data from multiple systems for reporting into BI platform.
- Work closely with the Project manager to deliver on business requirements OTIF (on time in full)
- Understand the crossfunctional business data points thoroughly and be SPOC for all datarelated queries.
Requirements
- Strong at SQL
- Strong experience in Data and Data warehouse modelling techniques and SQL queries.
- A good understanding of designing developing deploying and maintaining Power BI report solutions.
- Ability to create KPIs visualizations reports and dashboards based on business requirement.
- Knowledge and experience in prototyping designing and requirement analysis.
- Be able to implement rowlevel security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI
- Proficiency in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
- Expertise in using advanced level calculations on data sets.
Technical Skills
- Strong Knowledge in developing SQL Queries.
- Strong knowledge in SQL database & SQL DW.
Additional skills:
- Good knowledge of DWH concepts.
- Knowledge in Power BI (DAX Power Query Power BI Service Power BI Desktop Visualizations)
- Implementing Access Control and impose required Security.
