Batterjee Medical College (BMC) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member specializing in Health and Wellness Tourism Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching research and community engagement in the field of health and wellness tourism. This role requires a commitment to excellence in education and a passion for advancing the health and wellness tourism sector within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching:
Develop and deliver highquality lectures seminars and practical sessions in health and wellness tourism operations.
Design and update curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and reflects current trends in health and wellness tourism.
Supervise and mentor students in academic projects internships and research activities.
2. Research:
Conduct innovative research in the field of health and wellness tourism with a focus on sustainable practices and market trends.
Publish findings in reputable academic journals and present at national and international conferences.
3. Engagement:
Foster partnerships with health and wellness tourism organizations government bodies and industry stakeholders.
Organize and lead workshops seminars and training programs for students and professionals in the industry.
4. Curriculum Development:
Ensure the curriculum integrates practical skills and theoretical knowledge relevant to the industry.
Evaluate and revise course content regularly to keep it uptodate with industry advancements.
5. Student Support:
Provide academic advising and career guidance to students.
Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities internships and professional development opportunities.
Monitor and assess student performance providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Education: PhD or MSc in Tourism Management Hospitality Management Health and Wellness or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of health and wellness tourism with at least 5 years of teaching experience at the university/institutes level.
Proven track record in health and wellness tourism research/projects/collaboration.
Experience in curriculum development and academic program management.
Industry experience in health and wellness tourism is mandatory.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of health and wellness tourism operations sustainable tourism practices and market trends.
Excellent teaching and presentation skills.
Ability to conduct and publish highquality research.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
