Operations Manager

The Operations Manager (Construction) will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction operations in Angola. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in construction and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of construction operations including planning budgeting scheduling and execution of projects.
  
• Develop and implement operational strategies policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  
• Ensure compliance with local regulations health and safety standards and industry best practices.
  
• Coordinate with project managers engineers architects and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  
• Monitor project progress and performance identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  
• Manage and allocate resources including labor materials and equipment to ensure optimal utilization.
  
• Prepare and present regular reports on project status operational performance and financial metrics to senior management.
  
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement innovation and excellence within the operations team.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients suppliers and subcontractors to support successful project outcomes.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
  
• Extensive knowledge and experience in construction and manufacturing processes with a minimum of 10 years in a senior operational role.
  
• Proven track record of managing largescale construction projects preferably in an international setting.
  
• Strong understanding of project management principles methodologies and tools.
  
• Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  
• Proficiency in relevant software and technologies used in construction management.
  
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is highly desirable.
