Job Description

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (Allied)

Location: Dallas GA 30157

Pay Rate: $38/hr

Duration: 13 weeks contract

Shift: 8hr Day

Guarantee Hours: 40

Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans to improve patient mobility function and overall wellbeing.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises manual therapy and other interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress responses to treatment and any changes in condition.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to be performed at home.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
  • Experience in various physical therapy settings such as outpatient inpatient home health or rehabilitation is beneficial.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients families and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and instructions from the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Proficiency in therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy practices techniques and modalities.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills to manage a diverse caseload.
