Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Duration: 12 Months contract on W2

Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- 50% Full scale propellant mixing Prepares materials and performs fullscale mixing for all production programs confirming acceptable weights prior to releasing the materials to casting operations. The technician will also perform fullscale mixes for new programs/new formulations as they are introduced to the site. The technician is responsible for requisitioning and organizing the materials and processing required for the mix as well as cleaning and maintaining full scale mix equipment. Technician will perform these duties under the general direction of engineer and the area supervisor using established welldefined methods and calculations.
- 10% Mathematical Perform mathematical calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication division to create acceptable mixes for casting and use process data to fill out manufacturing data sheets. These calculations are performed using welldefined methods.
- 35% Grinding The technician will assemble grinders and grind materials for fullscale propellant mixes and weigh material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing. Technician is responsible for disassembly cleaning and reassembly of fullscale grinding equipment.
- 5% Other duties as assigned Such as but not limited to: AP prep for grinding bowl plugging for mixing Prototype motor casting development sample preparation and support of new production initiatives and schedules.
- Willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
- Able to work from elevated platforms climb ladders and transport 35 lbs. repetitively.
- Medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate powered industrial vehicle (and obtain company issued license as appropriate).
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to follow safety practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
- Ability to work with management supervisor or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
