Business Analyst III

Overview: We are seeking an advanced Business Analyst to join our team. This position involves supporting multiple projects or special assignments serving as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team. The role requires involvement throughout the entire software development life cycle from requirement elicitation to postimplementation enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elicit requirements from customer interviews and create detailed system requirements documents.
• Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Engage in business process reengineering and software process flow improvement.
• Develop user stories and use cases according to business analysis best practices.
• Design mockups and/or wireframes adhering to UX best practices.
• Manage requirements specifications and verify the fulfillment of all requirements including postimplementation enhancements.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• 8 Years Required: Eliciting requirements from customer interviews and creating wellwritten system requirements documents.
• 8 Years Required: Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• 8 Years Required: Business process reengineering and software process flow improvement.
• 8 Years Required: Development of user stories and use cases conforming to business analysis best practices.
• 8 Years Required: Designing mockups and/or wireframes conforming to UX best practices.
• 5 Years Required: Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• 5 Years Required: Strong writing and organization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 Years Preferred: Experience with the requirements management software Modern Requirements.
• 3 Years Preferred: Experience with the issue tracking software Atlassian Jira.
• 2 Years Preferred: Experience working for or closely with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) or another state or local education agency.
