Job Description

Job Title: Human Systems Integration Engineer II
Location: San Diego CA US
Type: Permanent
Salary: As per Exp.
Onsite: Yes

Summary:

The Human Systems Integration (HSI) Engineer II plays a key role in integrating human considerations into the engineering and development of NAVWAR systems. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments of requirements concepts and resources across multiple domains ensuring that human factors are effectively incorporated into system designs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain and modify artifacts supporting architectures specifications and standards.
  • Provide support for all aspects of systems engineering activities including the development and review of acquisition engineering documentation.
  • Review acquisition engineering documentation for programs in Research Technology and Engineering (RT&E).
  • Contribute to the development of Systems Integration requirements and plans.

Required Skills:

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required due to sensitivity of customerrelated requirements.
  • Education: ABETaccredited BS in an engineering discipline physical science or mathematics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering experience.
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience in HSI design installation integration and test support.
    • Multidomain HSI engineering analysis impact assessments and tradeoff studies.
    • Development of design documentation/specifications.
    • HISrelated engineering requirements performance and risk analysis.
    • HIS test planning test procedures development test conduct analysis and reporting.
    • Understanding of Naval operations from unit through operational staff and HQ levels.
    • Conducting mission task analysis topdown functional analysis and critical task analysis.
    • Familiarity with researching and analyzing missions tactics equipment interfaces and resource allocation in new and developing systems.
    • Knowledge of certification functions related to the NAVWAR Information Assurance Technical Authority mission including Risk Management Framework (RMF) Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) cyber risk to mission and cybersecurity readiness.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate in both written and oral presentations.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) system documentation.
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
