Job Description

We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka and looking for a Procurement Manager for a consumer products company based in Gampaha. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely and costeffective acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement excellent negotiation skills and the ability to drive efficiency and value across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support as required.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their suitability.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget identifying costsaving opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management and experience in the FMCG industry will be an added advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
