Activities Coordinator. Ribble Court Care Home

  • £11.61 per hour
  • Shifts: 9am 4pm including some weekends
  • 30 hours per week

This stunning 53bed home opened just 2 years ago and offers its residents stateoftheart facilities unrivalled in the area to include a coffee shop/bistro hair & nail salon separate dining and lounge areas and landscaped gardens whilst at the same time providing exceptional standards of care supported by the very latest care planning and nursecall technology.

Here at Ribble Court we provide highquality specialist/complex nursing care and residential dementia care on separate floors with a personcentred focus based on the needs and wishes of the residents maintained at all times.

As an Activities Coordinator at our home your role may involve:

In this role you will come up with and provide a variety of entertainment to residents that enriches the mind body and soul. Making a meaningful contribution to someone’s life is fulfilling demanding and requires flexibility professionalism and skills.

You will lead the way in developing a varied stimulating daily activity programme taking a handson approach and developing strong relationships with residents to ensure their wants interests and needs are catered for. Examples of activities offered may include films music exercise sessions gardening games quizzes arts & crafts nailcare trips and outings.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.

What are we looking for

  • Applicants will be diligent creative organised and committed to enhancing the quality of life of residents by providing activities which will interest inspire motivate and support them in their daily lives.
  • Compassion patience and positivity are just some of the key values and personal qualities required for this post whilst a flexible approach to work is essential.
  • Experience of working with an elderly client group and/or working within a care home environment would also be highly advantageous as would the ability to cover outings or special events outside of normal working hours as required.
