Job Description
Data Analyst
We are seeking a Data Analyst for our client in the insurance industry. The main function of this role is to coordinate changes to computer databases test and implement data changes to production systems applying knowledge of database management systems.
What is in it for you:
Hourly salary of $55 to $65 based on experience.
5month contract.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm.
Hybrid work: 3 office days from Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the project manager to address and resolve data gaps.
Produce and upload data files by consolidating data from multiple sources ensuring accurate data entry into the system.
Create data files and develop methods to quality check data elements.
Document data processes and build reports for ongoing monitoring.
Determine the optimal approach to complete work within a 5month timeframe in collaboration with project managers.
Work with senior management technical teams and clients to identify data requirements business data implementation approaches and best practices for advanced data manipulation.
Guide the implementation of bulk data updates in production systems for the Manulife Third Party Data project.
Prepare and test files for bulk data upload ensuring minimal impact on production systems.
Produce regular reports reflecting progress against data requirements.
Support the Project Manager with adhoc requests as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in a technical field such as computer science computer engineering or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5 years of experience in large institutions performing similar activities including data gathering and quality reporting.
Experience with database technologies.
Experience in producing data files identifying data gaps and ensuring efficient data system integration.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel including data consolidation VLOOKUP and formula creation for data validation.
Strong reporting capabilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities.
Strong problemsolving abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with project managers.
Strong communication skills and work ethic with a drive to excel in the role.
Passion for working with data and helping businesses make datadriven decisions.
