Job Description

Job Title: IT Officer

Location: Manama Bahrain

Category: Banking sector

This position is with one of our clients located in Bahrain looking to hire applicants who are local and presently residing in Bahrain.

Here below includes the job details:

Qualification: Bachelors degree in IT or any related field.

Required Experience: Minimum 7 years experience in the banking industry.

Responsibility:

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • monitor the performance of the Information Systems and make recommendations if performance falls below standard.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Replace parts as required.
  • Provide support including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
  • Support the rollout of new applications.
  • Set up new users accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties if appropriate).
  • Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time.
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals such as software developers.
  • Test and evaluate new technology.
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Maintain regular backup of all files on all systems within the network.
  • Ensure appropriate safeguards are implemented to secure personal data processing activities including the personal data stored in identifiable and nonidentifiable format.
  • Develop and deploy Personal Data Protection Framework and obtain relevant Management approvals related to personal data protection.
  • Perform periodic monitoring to ensure compliance with Bahrain PDPL and report any violations to the Management so that the reasons of violations can be eliminated or the requisite corrective procedures can be taken.
  • Notify Bahrain Personal Data Protection Authority (PDPA) of any violations committed by the organization where no corrective measures are taken.
  • Provide appropriate advice to the business management employees and third parties who are carrying out processing activities on their obligations for protecting personal data as per Bahrain PDPL requirements (e.g. Data Subject rights etc.).
  • Provide necessary information and communicate with Bahrain PDPA and individuals whose personal data is processed (employees customers third parties etc.).
  • Maintain a Record of personal data Processing Activities (RPA) and notify Bahrain PDPA about the RPA once a month and as and when is requested by Bahrain PDPA.
  • Identify all risks associated with personal data processing activities considering the nature scope context safeguards and purposes of processing.
  • Conduct personal data protection awareness and training sessions for the employees in relation to Bahrain PDPL requirements.
  • Perform periodic reviews and updates on Personal Data Protection Framework.
  • Address the Data Subject Rights Requests raised by Data Subjects.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by Management due to business requirements within in the scope of expertise and training.
