Job Description

Farm Drainage Sales Representative
Overview: This role demands comprehensive involvement in all aspects of farm drainage business development to boost market share and sales within a specific geographic sales territory. The position requires collaboration with farmers landowners underground utility contractors design engineers specifying agencies and distributors. The sales representative is expected to become the leading figure in their territory by being dominant visible and influential.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Allocate lead generation time based on market demographics distribution strategy and acceptance of company’s farm drainage products.
  • Monitor field installations to ensure procedural compliance.
  • Travel daily within the territory to identify new accounts and maintain existing business relationships.
  • Prepare status reports detailing activities closures followups and goal adherence.
  • Generate customer quotations.
  • Participate in trade shows and events to promote the company’s products and applications.
  • Operate within approved pricing parameters.
  • Develop and maintain information portfolios.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong personal professional and customer relationships.
  • Maintain product knowledge and sales materials.
  • Expand customer business.
  • Actively participate in industry trade association meetings and events.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Excellent communication skills

Educational Requirements:
  • 4year degree and/or equivalent industry work experience preferred
