Job Description:

As a Senior Engineer you will be recognized as a technical expert in the Enterprise Supervision Application portfolio specializing in one or more phases of application and/or systems engineering. This role involves providing high and lowlevel design recommendations aligned with longterm IT organization strategy and enterprise architecture. You will be responsible for determining specifications planning designing developing and supporting businesscritical technology solutions utilizing appropriate engineering processes individually or in collaboration with the product team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Designing Solutions:

  • Apply technical knowledge to drive outcomes for Enterprise Supervision.
  • Independently solve problems on initiatives that align with broader engineering strategies.
  • Translate enterprise architecture patterns into longterm efficient and modernized solutions.
  • Communicate designs clearly across varying organizational levels both technical and nontechnical.

Implementing Solutions:

  • Develop core technology solutions for Enterprise Supervision assets independently and collaboratively.
  • Deliver stable scalable and resilient technology solutions meeting team expectations.
  • Focus on achieving defined team outcomes and share ideas for creating longterm modern systems.

Learning and Applying New Techniques:

  • Share new ideas and techniques with the team.
  • Encourage junior engineers to invest in continuous learning.
  • Innovate pragmatic solutions and promote new ways of working.

Collaborating within the Team:

  • Provide technical expertise in team collaboration sessions to solve problems and remove roadblocks.
  • Participate in product planning and implementation aiding the team in understanding and decomposing work.
  • Empower the team to own their work offering guidance and thought leadership.

Defining Engineering Standards and Patterns:

  • Collaborate in developing engineering practices templates and frameworks.

DevOps:

  • Continuously assess technology to enhance software stability scalability and resilience.
  • Use data to measure progress and promote CI/CD pipeline use to improve deployment and build processes.
  • Participate in the team support rotation offering expert knowledge on focus subsystems.

Selecting & Managing Technology Vendors:

  • Define criteria for selecting technology vendors and participate in proof of concept/technology evaluations with vendors.

Coaching Engineers:

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior engineers aiding their development and solving technical/software issues.
  • Offer training and domain expertise on software products to junior engineers.

Recruiting/Building Talent:

  • Engage in the tech community to build the companys technology brand.
  • Participate in interviews and contribute to defining the interview process to hire the right talent.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10 years of experience in engineering environments formulating detailed software engineering plans.
  • Sound knowledge of industrystandard agile practices version and revision control procedures.
  • Expertise in Java full stack (front and back end) data exchange platforms microservices containerized development and database platforms.
  • Proficiency in systems design concepts that ensure security and stability.
  • Expertise in debugging code and complex log files for troubleshooting.
  • Expert knowledge in querying databases for complex data lookups and updates.
  • Experience performing code reviews with associate team members.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Familiarity with compliance and legalrelated systems.
  • Experience in coaching/mentoring other team members.
