Exciting Opportunity for a FullTime Radiation Therapist

Are you a skilled Radiation Therapist looking to make a significant impact in patient care Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join their team. This is a fulltime position offering the chance to work with stateoftheart equipment and deliver highquality radiation therapy to patients. Relocation assistance up to $10000 is available.
Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Operation: Safely and correctly operate equipment to deliver ionizing radiation for treating neoplastic diseases or other therapeutic purposes.
• Patient Care: Perform highquality radiation therapy procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner following the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist.
• Pretreatment Preparations: Carry out pretreatment preparations including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices.
• Technical Competence: Perform daily morning QA on linear accelerators and CT simulator.
• Record Keeping: Utilize hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems to record patient treatment delivery document patient positioning information and communicate any pertinent information regarding patient care coordination.
• Scheduling: Schedule patients for simulation and treatment.
• OnCall Participation: Be flexible to participate in oncall procedures if needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient Support: Ensure a positive and compassionate patient experience by providing support and education explaining procedures and putting patients at ease.
• Stress Management: Maintain a calm and helpful attitude under stress taking appropriate steps to resolve issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.
• Experience: 34 years of experience preferred.
• Licensure: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and licensed by the state of New Mexico or eligible for licensure.
• Certification: BLS certification required.
• Technical Knowledge: Knowledgeable of the operation methods and safety standards of all equipment producing ionizing radiation within the department.
• Radiation Handling: Ability to handle radiation sources safely.
