Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable secure highly available cloud architectures leveraging serverless and containerized solutions.
• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance availability and security utilizing tools like CloudWatch.
• Work within the AWS cloud to implement various automation.
• Implement and enforce security best practices including identity and access management (IAM) network security and data encryption to protect cloud environments from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in conducting security audits and assessments to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards such as SOC 2.
• Collaborate with development operations and security teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of cloudbased solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure services and applications.
• Develop proofs of concept (POC) for business solutions to demonstrate the feasibility and value of new technologies and approaches.
• Maintain documentation for cloud architectures processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Systems IT or related fields.
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in AWS cloud operations managing cloudbased infrastructure and deploying cloud services.
• Proficiency in security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Node.js Python and Linux scripting.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPCs subnets routing and load balancing.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Security Specialty are a plus.
