Software Engineer

Our client seeks an experienced and passionate fullstack (React Postgres. NET)Software Engineer to join our development team and support our new marketing platform. In this role you will report to our VP of Technology and work closely with the other development team members.

You will be responsible for collaboratively planning engineering testing and shipping software solutions with the other team members. You must communicate and coordinate regularly with your teammates and internal business stakeholders to ship highquality software to production.

You must be passionate about technology and software engineering; you have worked as a developer on a multiperson team operating under an agile software engineering methodology preferably Scrum. You have a growth mindset and know there is always room to improve.

Mature communication skills are a must. You hold strong opinions and campaign for them but know that good ideas can come from anyone and are open to embracing tradeoffs to reach solutions.

From a technical perspective you are experienced with React for creating serviceoriented web applications that utilize PostgreSQL. You have firsthand knowledge of building systems in the cloud with bonus points for AWS. Having experience with Productionready React engineering will set you apart from other candidates.

Ideally you have experience working in remote and/or hybrid distributed team environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field or comparable realworld experience

• 5 years experience with React Development

• 5 years experience with Microsoft .NET technology stack

• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies tools and best practices

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Experience operating in agile development methodologies

• Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on enterpriselevel applications

• Proven experience as a React Developer with a deep understanding of React state management patterns and hooks.

• Experience with TypeScript.

• Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools especially VITE.

• Handson experience with RESTful API integration particularly with AWS API Gateway.

• Familiarity with GraphQL services specifically AWS AppSync.

• Knowledge of cloud serverless ecosystems particularly AWS services including Lambda S3 RDS SQS AppSync API Gateway and CloudFront.

• Exposure to administering cloud infrastructure for production web applications using infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CDK CloudFormation and/or Terraform is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with the other Development team members to plan develop test and ship wellwritten software.

• Technical Expertise: Bring deep technical expertise to the team assisting with complex technical challenges and driving best practices in software development particularly regarding React design and engineering.

• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes tools and methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality.

• Quality Assurance: Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance and testing ensuring the timely delivery of robust and bugfree software products.
