About the Opportunity:

FedTec is seeking 2 Azure Security Engineers who will comprehensively assess DFPIs Azure environment to identify security gaps misconfigurations and vulnerabilities. Provide recommendations and remediation plans to address identified security issues and enhance the overall security

Position: Azure Security Engineer

Work Location: Sacramento CA 95834 (Onsite)

Client: Department of Financial Protection and Innovation

Experience Required:

• Expertise experience and knowledge in Azure AVS NSXT and WAF (minimum 3 years)
• Indepth knowledge of Azure services including Azure Security Center Azure Sentinel Azure Active Directory Azure Networking Azure Virtual Machines and other relevant services.
• Security Concepts: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles including threat modeling encryption network security identity and access management (IAM) security incident response and compliance frameworks (such as GDPR HIPAA etc.).
• Security Tools: Familiarity with security tools commonly used in Azure environments such as Azure Security Center Azure Sentinel Azure Policy Azure Key Vault Azure Information Protection and Azure AD Identity Protection.
• Networking: Understanding of networking concepts and experience in configuring and securing virtual networks subnets firewalls and network security groups (NSGs) in Azure.
• Handson experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server Azure DevOps or other similar products (minimum 5 years).
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Proficiency in configuring and managing Azure Active Directory including user and group management rolebased access control (RBAC) conditional access policies and single signon (SSO) configurations.
• Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Experience in setting up and configuring security monitoring solutions like Azure Monitor Azure Log Analytics and Azure Sentinel for detecting and responding to security incidents.
• Scripting and Automation: Strong scripting skills in PowerShell Azure CLI or other scripting languages to automate security tasks and configurations in Azure.
• Compliance and Governance: Knowledge of industry compliance standards and regulations and experience implementing compliance controls and governance frameworks in Azure environments.
• Azure Certification / Microsoft Solutions Partner (Expert badge)

Minimum Qualification:

Azure Certification:

• Personnel should hold relevant Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar certifications demonstrating proficiency in knowledge in Azure AVS NSXT and WAF. Minimum of 3 or more years of working experience in Azure.

Experience with Azure Security Services:

• Demonstrated experience in configuring deploying and managing Azure security services such as Azure Security Center Azure Sentinel Azure Firewall Azure DDoS Protection Azure Identity Protection and Azure Key Vault.
• Familiarity with security best practices and industry standards for securing Azure resources.

Cybersecurity Expertise:

• Strong background in cybersecurity principles including risk management threat detection incident response and compliance.
• Experience in conducting security assessments vulnerability scanning and penetration testing in Azure environments.

Technical Proficiency:

• Proficiency in using Azure Portal Azure CLI Azure PowerShell and other Azure management tools for configuring and managing security controls.
• Knowledge of networking concepts encryption techniques identity and access management and security protocols relevant to Azure.

Desired Qualification:
