Unit staffing description (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 3 techs when full on 630 and 2 techs when full on 633
Type of equipment : bipaps high flow o2 vapotherm alaris pumps cardiac drips heparin drips insulin drips peritoneal dialysis. Wound vacs in conjunction with wound care
Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling requirements: every other weekend requirement for contract 3 12 hour shifts a week
Floating policy: may have to float in between PCU units or float to medsurg floors
Patient Experience requirements: hourly rounding on days every 2 hour rounding on nights AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor. Dept 633 has tv communication boards.

Requested Skill Set:
Must have : Critical thinking skills EKG rhythm interpretation cardiac drip insulin drip and heparin drip experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred and peripheral iv skills.
Advanced skills needed: ACLS. Experience with bipaps high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems. Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes.
Procedures performed on unit: Peritoneal dialysis thoracentesis paracentesis chest tube insertions dobhoff/NG tube insertions central line dressing changes. Trouble shooting wound vacs
Certifications Required: BLS ACLS
