Senior Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng)
Calgary AB

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready for a new challenge Our client a leading EPCM company in Calgary specializing in small to mediumsized oil and gas processing projects is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will work closely with the Mechanical Engineering Manager and the projects team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed engineering drawings and designs
  • Developing and reviewing technical documents and vendor packages
  • Managing engineering lists specifications and requisitions
  • Ensuring compliance with industry codes standards and client requirements
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Developing Construction Work Packages (CWPs)
  • Reviewing and approving deliverables from other engineers
  • Conducting field trips to client locations and fabrication shops (approx. 10%)

Requirements


  • 715 years of Mechanical EPC experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • P.Eng registration with APEGA
  • Knowledge of ABSA and AER requirements
  • Standard First Aid and H2S Alive certifications are an asset
  • Valid Alberta driver s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective communication and team leadership skills
  • Basic knowledge or willingness to learn CSA Z662 ASME B31.3 and API standards
  • Oil and gas experience is advantageous

Qualifications: Engineering Design & Drafting Technology graduate or equivalent education/experience. Experience in piping process equipment in a fabrication facility is an asset. Knowledge of ASME/ANSI B31.3, CADWorx, and AutoCAD. Comprehensive understanding of P&IDs and piping layouts. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Location: Rocky View County, Alberta (near SE Calgary) Reliable transportation required (no public transit service) Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shifts In-person work
