Overview:
As an Airbag Simulation Engineer you will play a critical role in the design and development of airbag systems for automotive safety. You will be responsible for utilizing simulation tools to model analyze and optimize airbag deployment performance ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge of Automotive Structures & Occupant Safety specially in Airbags
Good understanding of basic Engineering fundamentals.
Good Experience in Airbag Meshing Stitching using Hypermesh/Stitcher tool.
Good Experience in Airbag Folding Using Simfolder (Pamcrash) solver
Good Experience in Airbag Deployment using LSDyna solver & Validation of Airbag with Test Results.
Good in ANSA/Hypermesh meshing and Structural Analysis for Automotive components
Report preparation in hyperview
Knowledge of Dummy positioning seat squashing (foam deformation) and Belt routing in Primer will be added advantage.
Strong interpersonal & communication skills are highly desirable
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in using simulation software for airbag system modeling and analysis
- Strong understanding of crash dynamics and occupant protection principles
- Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards such as FMVSS and Euro NCAP
- Experience in automotive safety system development and validation
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python C or MATLAB
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team environment
- Knowledge of airbag inflators fabrics and cushioning materials is a plus
- Understanding of statistical analysis and design of experiments (DOE)
- Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
