Job Description

Role Description

  • Carry out site surveys as required by the work instruction
  • Undertake thorough investigative utility surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures
  • Liaising with other site surveyors contractors suppliers clients
  • Create Utility Survey Reports
  • Carry out appropriate quality control checks before drawings issued to customer
  • Mentor and train less experienced surveyors
  • Gathering data to produce mapping information of underground and overground supply services.
  • Complete core on site detecting and mapping activities required for underground utility surveys including Ground Penetrating Radar (high and low frequency) GPR in Markout Mode EML methods drainage surveys.
  • Leading and coordinating field teams on site


  • Overseeing technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery
  • Ability to undertake PAS128 Surveys

Must be selfmotivated have the ability to follow instructions and to work on their own initiative.



Requirements

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience working as a Utility Surveyor ideally with supervisory experience.
  • Advanced skills in the use of Electromagnetic and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of utility provider drawings
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility mapping and GPR
  • Knowledge of Topographical Surveying equipment beneficial but not essential
  • Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience of carrying out training of other staff
  • Ability to work away from home occasionally
  • Previous experience in postprocessing GPR data is desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 or 5 qualification is beneficial but not essential.
  • CSCS qualification is beneficial but not essential
