POSITION SUMMARY:
The Management Accountant / Financial Data Analyst is responsible for managing financial operations providing insights through data analysis and supporting strategic decisionmaking processes. This role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with advanced data analytics to enhance financial performance and business growth. This position requires a meticulous individual with a robust finance or accounting background and a keen analytical mind.
The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills effective interaction resourceful and able to find solutions independently anticipating challenges and proactively addressing them. They must be trusted to handle information maintain confidentiality and consistently deliver quality work.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIONS:
Analyse financial data: Examine and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations for company wide decisionmaking.
Providing financial models: Create and deliver financial models to simulate various business scenarios and support strategic planning.
Establish benchmarks for financial processes: Develop standards and benchmarks to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
Making financial forecasts: Predict future financial outcomes based on historical data trends and economic indicators.
Suggest budgets and improvements: Propose budgets and recommend improvements to enhance financial efficiency and performance.
Developing detailed financial plans: Create comprehensive financial plans to guide the organisation s strategic and operational decisionmaking.
Evaluating financial statements: Assess and interpret financial statements to gauge the financial health and performance of the organisation.
Market research: Conduct research on market trends and conditions to inform business strategy and financial planning.
Develop recommendations: Provide recommendations to optimise and refine financial plans for better alignment with organisational goals.
Establish and evaluate profit plans: Develop and assess profit plans to ensure they align with business goals and drive financial success.
Develop and maintain Microsoft BI solutions to streamline financial data analysis providing actionable insights to support strategic decisionmaking and financial reporting.
SKILLS:
At least 4 years experience in Accounting and / or Finance;
Intermediate Skills with XERO MYOB QuickBooks or equivalent;
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree;
Experience in a financial data analyst or management accounting role
Experience in the trades industry highly regarded
Well honed financial analysts skills
Above average communication skills
