We are partnering with a prominent fullfledged Energy Systems Integrator and provider operating extensively across Africa and the Middle East. They are currently seeking a Chief Accountant to play a pivotal role in their expansion project to West Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all financial operations of the organization ensuring adherence to international accounting standards.
- Prepare analyze and present accurate financial statements budgets cash flow statements and other financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct comprehensive financial forecasting including risk analysis and provide strategic financial advice to support decisionmaking.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate external audits tax filings and regulatory compliance requirements liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Supervise daytoday accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable general ledger entries and payroll processes.
- Optimize financial processes and systems including the implementation and utilization of ERP systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage inventory and procurement processes to optimize working capital and ensure costeffective operations.
- Provide leadership mentorship and guidance to the accounting and finance team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field Masters is a PLUS.
- CPA or CMA certifications are a PLUS.
- Minimum 5 Years in Accounting Management within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Indepth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in budgeting cash flow management and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English French and Arabic preferred.
