Senior Electronics Engineer

Tasks

For the next expansion step 3Brain is looking for a fulltime Hardware electronics engineer to reinforce our R&D team. You will help develop embedded systems for highspeed data acquisition devices including system engineering schematics design and layout testing and verification. You will also contribute to the current device production line including tasks such as automation production testing and optimization.

In particular your tasks involve:

• Designing highspeed embedded systems and architectures for products based on highresolution microelectrode arrays
• Designing lowlevel current/voltage instrumentation tools to operate Microelectrode Arrays
• Design and implement hardware systems and subsystems (PCBs) including highspeed ADCs microcontrollers and FPGASoMs power supplies etc.
• Testing measuring characterization and validation of electronic systems
• Design and development of productiontesttools
• Expert support of the electronics production team
• Programming of microprocessorbased test equipment including various sensors and actuators

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Independence and ability to communicate and work effectively with other team members in a multicultural and international environment
• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in HW Design
• Design of lowlevel analog electronics and highspeed digital systems (Simulation Schematics Layout)
• Detailed understanding of PCBmanufacturing
• Good understanding of EMC compliance and mechanical integration
• Practical and industrial handson experience (e.g. prototype soldering setting up testbenches transfer and scaleup to mass production etc.)
• Prototyping and testing (i.e. for bringup debugging and production)
• Background in basic signal processing (i.e. sampling filtering aliasing etc.)
• Fluency in English
