Maximo Nivel is a leading ESL institute in Latin America. We are looking for a great ESL Tutor to join our teaching team in Cusco Peru. Maximo Nivel is well known in Latin America for our Native English Program and Native Spanish Program our professionalism and our dedication to excellent teaching and great client service. We are a hardworking and professional group and these are the kind of tutors we look for. Our ESL tutor teaches 39 contact hours per week Monday Saturday with levels ranging from Basic to Advanced. The majority of our learners are young adults 1830 years of age. We pride ourselves on our teachers and it is important you take pride in your teaching :)

The Tutor plays an important role in providing highquality and engaging language tutoring to Spanish and Englishspeaking students. The primary focus of the Tutor is to assist students in their studies of Spanish and English helping them improve their language skills and achieve their learning goals.

Tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts tutoring sessions to support students in their Spanish and English language studies.
• Invites and encourages enrolled students to join tutoring sessions.
• Gives instruction in all language areas (grammar vocabulary pronunciation writing speaking listening reading etc.).
• Is familiar with Maximo Nivels English and Spanish curricula and assessments.
• Provides relevant support materials.
• Attends teacher meetings.
• Supports the Academic team with other administrative tasks when needed.
• Reports to the Academic Director in Peru Guatemala or Costa Rica.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree is preferred.
• TEFL TESOL or CELTA certification or similar program is required (minimum 120 hours).
• At least 3 years of professional experience in teaching and tutoring.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Thorough understanding of English and Spanish grammar.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively deliver tutoring sessions to multiple students.
• Passionate about teaching and supporting students in their language learning journey.
