Job Description

The Role:

  • Project Engineer
  • Sligo

Role Brief:

The Project Engineer is responsible for safely coordinating and leading projects associated with process improvements automation aseptic processing new processing equipment with some facility / utilities modifications.The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure that Projects meet their agreed goals/targets on time and on budget.

Core Tasks:

  • Safely coordinate and lead cross functional project teams for the delivery of processing equipment to the site based on planned timelines and scope.
  • Writing User Requirement Specifications.
  • Selecting Vendors and completing Vendor evaluation matrix.
  • Writing RCEs placing orders Project Management & Design review meetings.
  • Working to the ASME BPE 2019 Standard and relevant ISPE Guidelines etc.
  • Lead the Project Team participation in Factory Acceptance Testing program.
  • Coordination of all equipment documentation requirements.
  • Commissioning of equipment.

Skills Brief:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role delivering projects in Pharma Life Science of Medical Device manufacturing environments.
  • Strong Project Management.
  • A recognised Project Management qualification would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of writing URS and of FAT programs.
  • Strong understanding of the various roles within a manufacturing facility and how they impact project delivery
  • Specific experience of Aseptic Processing would be advantageous but is not essential.

Person Brief:

Candidates must have a level 8degree qualification with minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical biotechnology or medical device manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment. In addition to this strong attention to detail including the ability to proofread documents and to accurately translate customers requirements into meaningful enduser instructions consistently is required.

You should have a mix of strong and relevant technical skills and proven client and project management skills.

The candidate should be based in Sligo or the surrounding area and able to travel onsite to the Sligo siteas required as this is an onsite role.

Some travel to the UK and USA will be required a small number of times per year. You must be able to accommodate this as required.
