Job Description

We are currently seeking applicants for a Tire and Lube Technician position to assist our client. We welcome you to submit your application if you are interested.


To be successful as a lube and tire technician you should have strong mechanical skills be able to perform physically demanding tasks and adhere to all safety procedures and practices. Ultimately an outstanding lube and tire technician should be able to communicate effectively with service advisors and demonstrate excellent time management skills work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high industry standards.

Lube and Tire Technician Responsibilities:

  • Applying lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
  • Replacing cabin fuel air and oil filters as required.
  • Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
  • Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
  • Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels wear patterns valve quality and overall health.
  • Thoroughly inspecting clients vehicles for oil leaks.
  • Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
  • Notifying the Service Advisor when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes.
  • Talking to the client about any issues they are experiencing.
  • Recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires.
  • Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves.
  • Installing and Balancing tires.
  • Studding tires for snow use.
  • Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment.

Lube and Tire Technician Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Good manual dexterity and handeye coordination.
  • Detailoriented.
  • Excellent time management and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Job Types: Fulltime Permanent

Pay: $17.00$20.00 per hour
