Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Critical Care Nursing

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Critical Care unit provides specialized care for patients with critical cardiovascular conditions including those recovering from cardiac surgery heart attacks and other serious cardiac events.

Shift: D/N Rotate.
Must have Cardiac ICU Experience!
AHA: BLS & ACLS required at submission.
CRRT IABP NIHHS LVAD Impella ECMO.
Primarily receives patients diagnosed with CHF arrhythmias or acute MIs requiring ICU level of care.
Float expected if needed; CTICU float.
Does NOT accept local candidates within 50 miles!
Expected to work every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient condition vital signs and cardiac status.
• Administer medications treatments and advanced life support as required.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and posttreatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Operate and troubleshoot complex cardiovascular monitoring equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform critical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in critical care or cardiovascular nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a highstress fastpaced environment.
