Exciting Opportunity Alert: PT and FT ASL Interpreter Openings for theAcademic Year
Sign Language Interpreters will play a vital role in facilitating communication between deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers teachers and staff. Our company believes in supporting our employees and fostering an environment where they can thrive.
Your role will include:
- Adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assisting with communication between students and teachers in various educational settings.
- Providing interpretation services during classroom instruction discussions and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborating with educators to ensure the academic success and inclusion of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Requirements
- 3.5 EIPA score or higher required.
- Competency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of deaf culture.
- Bachelor s degree (or higher)in ASL interpretation deaf education special education or a related field.
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g. RID certification) preferred but not required.
