Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Risk Management: Utilize your clinical expertise to manage patient risks including Length of Stay Level of Care and medical aid benefits.
- Coding Proficiency: Apply your skills in ICD 10 and CPT 4 coding to patient files.
- Billing Authorization: Oversee the authorization and final billing of patient files ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Engage daily with Medical Schemes hospital nursing staff and medical practitioners to ensure seamless patient care.
- Per Diem Management: Effectively manage Per Diem accounts to optimize patient care and hospital operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse / Staff Nurse: With at least 4 years of nursing experience in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
- Intensive Care Experience: Essential for this role.
- Case Management Experience: Experience in Hospital or Medical Scheme Case Management is advantageous.
- Coding Knowledge: Proficiency in ICD 10 and CPT 4 coding.
