Job Description

Our client is a company that is expanding greatly in the energy market and is the one of largest methanol producers in the world. They work on EPC projects in various parts of the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the QSE Director in achieving departmental objectives.
  • Provide quality support to all departments especially the EPC department including document review tender development and standards interpretation.
  • Develop and implement a Quality Management System for project execution phases following company procedures client and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and ensure the implementation of the Site Quality Plan in collaboration with the Project Manager and QSE department including ITP issuance and quality control record management.
  • Liaise with site construction management and provide quality technical assistance as needed.
  • Assist the Site Manager in resolving client discrepancies and ambiguities.
  • Issue welding NDT and other quality documents as required including WPSs Welding Books Method Statements and Test Procedures.
  • Approve qualifications for welders and NDT Technicians.
  • Coordinate the site quality inspectors/supervisors team across all disciplines (civil mechanical electrical I&C chemical etc.).
  • Control subcontractor quality management activities.
  • Monitor and assess all site inspections and audits across disciplines including Suppliers/Vendors/Subcontractors.
  • Coordinate all site inspections with subcontractors.
  • Review inspection reports for accuracy and ensure attached documents are updated.
  • Prepare nonconformity reports ensure their implementation and followup and communicate these to the Site Manager.
  • Participate in quality meetings and prepare monitoring reports.
  • Support the Site Manager in interpreting verification inspection and test results and define and control corrective actions.
  • Participate in expediting activities related to systems/equipment fabrication.
  • Ensure proper application and maintenance of monitoring and measuring equipment.
  • Provide training and mentoring on quality topics to site staff ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Manage the collection of relevant site documents for Customer Technical Documentation.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of work experience in industrial plants (Power Oil & Gas Refining or Petrochemical industries preferred).

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or bachelors (preferably in Engineering).
  • ISO 9001:2015 training.
  • Quality Control training (preferably in welding).
  • Auditor Training (ISO 19011).
  • Proficiency in MS Office AutoCAD MS Project.
  • Language skills: English; knowledge of German Portuguese or French is beneficial.
  • Soft skills: Targetoriented team player.

  • Main location: Lisbon Portugal
  • Candidate should be available for regular travel and willing to spend periods abroad as required.
