Construction SiteProject Manager

Our client is a company that is expanding greatly in the energy market and is the one of largest methanol producers in the world. They work on EPC projects in various parts of the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager in the planning and execution of petrochemical and industrial projects for both international clients and internal company initiatives.
• Coordinate construction teams and activities including internal teams partnership teams and subcontractors.
• Support the Project Manager in developing the Construction Execution Plan and preparing deliverable documents.
• Plan and define construction site facilities execution methods contracting strategy equipment requirements transportation to site and related activities.
• Deliver to contractual milestones ensuring facilities are built and tested for precommissioning and commissioning teams in compliance with all handover requirements and processes.
• Prepare construction cost estimates for internal and external works and activities.
• Coordinate with different departments external partners and other group companies to ensure ontime onbudget and quality project delivery.
• Manage interfaces between stakeholders including Clients Project Management Engineering Contractors Vendors Operations HSE and Quality.
• Provide input to the project controls team for cost and schedule reporting.
• Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards regulations and codes.
• Monitor and ensure that company and project procedures and instructions are implemented by construction teams and Contractors.
• Ensure the Project Quality Plan is implemented and maintained.
• Prioritize Health Safety and Environment.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction works for industrial projects with a preference for petrochemical projects.
• Experience in executing projects in the Middle East is highly valued.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a related field.
• Industry experience in power heavy industrial gas separation oil/natural gas or process facilities with specialization in methanol and ammonia is highly valued.
• Previous experience in managing construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German Portuguese or French is beneficial.
• Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel.
• Resultsoriented strong team player excellent communication skills.
• Availability for regular travel and extended periods abroad as required.

• Base location: Lisbon Portugal.
• Work location: Construction sites worldwide.
• Recurrent travel and extended periods abroad are expected.
