Job Description

Job Description:

As a Workforce Compliance Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the companys compliance with labor laws and regulations. You will monitor report and advise on compliance issues conduct investigations and provide training to ensure that the workforce operates within legal and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal state and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of HR practices and policies to identify compliance risks.
  • Investigate compliance issues employee complaints and grievances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide training and guidance to management and employees on labor laws company policies and ethical standards.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of changes in labor laws and regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with HR legal and management teams to develop and implement compliance strategies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of employee handbooks and policy manuals.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation related to compliance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven 24 years of experience as a Compliance Specialist HR Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in Construction/Manufacture industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of federal state and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Professional certification (e.g. SHRMCP SHRMSCP PHR SPHR) is a plus.
