Job Description

Hybrid/Local IT Trainer (CAP/CDMP/ED Tech)
Location: Richmond VA
Duration: 12 Months

with instructional design MS 365 videos software/hardware troubleshooting MDM data analytics and PM experience

The agency has a need for a trainer with Information Technology related skills to assist VDH local health district employees and subrecipient sites within the HIV Care Services Program Provide Enterprise.

Skills:
Bachelors degree in Education Management Information Systems Communications Business or related field. Required 4 Years
Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design Required 3 Years
Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design General working knowledge of MS 365 applications including Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook Required 3 Years
Experience leading building training materials such as videos presentations or job aids Required 3 Years
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software handson or from a help desk Required 3 Years
3 Years of related professional experience Required 3 Years
3 years of experience advising and influencing internal stakeholders (leadership technical trainers etc.) Required 3 Years
Must be a selfstarter and a team player with a positive attitude. Required 3 Years
Works collaboratively. Seeks out the experience of others with the aim for better results. Open minded regardless of where ideas originate. Required 3 Years
Knowledge and experience working with a local health department or Viriginia Department of Health. Highly desired 2 Years
Knowledge of Ryan White HIV program. Highly desired 2 Years
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Associate or Above Highly desired 2 Years
ED Tech Certification Other Teaching Certifications that May be applicable. Highly desired 2 Years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly desired 2 Years
Excellent attention to detail. Highly desired 2 Years
Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Highly desired 3 Years
Ability to coach and influence internal key stakeholders. Required 3 Years
Travel to deliver onsite training as deemed necessary. Required 3 Years

VDH has determined that there is a need for a trainer throughout the Commonwealth to assist with Provide Enterprise end user training and to provide helpdesk support. There is a need for a trainer/support person in each program to guide employees and provide training that will make them more efficient in their job tasks. In addition to delivering end user training the trainer will also create training materials that can be uploaded and tracked through the TRAIN learning management system. The trainer will become a subject matter expert in the program area they support and will be expected to serve on the helpdesk to provide support end users.


Job duties consist of but not limited to:
Determine skill gaps and training needs in consultation with district regional and OIM staff
Create and curate training materials.
Deliver trainings and offer followup support for ongoing learning
Communicate skill gaps and training needs within the Provide training and support team to best develop learning strategies content and delivery that best fits the needs of the users.
Demonstrate servant leadership through collaborative strategic and tactical planning to achieve holistic goals.
Create and curate training materials.
Provide helpdesk support.
Coach staff through troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues.Using deep program subject matter expertise advise staff regarding program workflow best practices.
Travel to deliver onsite training as deemed necessary. Deliver online webbased training on both a scheduled and asneeded basis. Provide office hours for impromptu training requests.

Preferred Basic Qualification
Bachelors degree in Education Management Information Systems Communications Business or related field. Work experience in lieu of education can be accepted at the hiring managers discretion
Knowledge and experience working with a local health department or Viriginia Department of Health.
Knowledge of Ryan White HIV program.
Experience using Provide Enterprise System is highly desired for this position.

3 years of experience advising and influencing internal stakeholders (leadership technical trainers.)
