Job Responsibilities
1. Design and Aesthetics:
o Design Oversight: Lead the designers in creating Indofusion collections that blend tradition with contemporary trends.
o Ethnic and IndoFusion Elements: Infuse ethnic motifs fabrics and silhouettes with modern aesthetics to create unique and appealing designs.
o Approval Process: Review and approve all design concepts ensuring alignment with brand vision and market preferences.
o Sampling: Coordinate sampling and act as a link between design/ fitting to sales.
2. Product Assortment and Planning:
o Option Planning: Develop a strategic plan for the assortment considering factors like seasonality trends and customer preferences.
o SubCategory Mix: Decide on the mix of subcategories (e.g. kurtas kurta sets dresses) based on market demand and profitability. Evaluate existing subcategories and propose additions or deletions as needed.
3. Pricing Strategy:
o Pricing Decisions: Determine competitive pricing for products while maintaining quality standards.
o Profit Margins: Balance pricing to achieve optimal profit margins without compromising customer value.
4. Fabric and Production Understanding:
o Fabric Selection: Collaborate with sourcing and production teams to choose suitable fabrics for the options in Indian wear.
o Quality Control: Ensure that fabric quality meets industry standards and customer expectations.
5. Business Acumen:
o Apparel Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends competitor offerings and consumer behavior.
o Buying and Planning: Have a strong understanding of the buying process inventory management and demand forecasting.
o Market Insights: Use market insights to drive product decisions and identify growth opportunities.
6. Collaboration and Reporting:
o Supplier Relationships: Build strong supplier relations and having a creative focus on product development to strike the right balance between quality price and timing.
o CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with design production marketing and sales teams to align strategies.
o Effective Reporting: Track design development progress market trends and sales performance. Provide actionable insights for future improvements.
