Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Athens TN 37303
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs preventative maintenance program.
- Performs maintenance work on plant equipment as assigned.
- Assists maintenance with installing equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Possess other general maintenance skills.
- Maintain work areas to housekeeping standards.
- All employees are expected to follow safe work practices obey rules and regulations and work in a way which maintains the high safety and health standards developed and sanctioned by the Company.
- Every Team Member who works at the Athens Plant shares in the responsibility for support of the health safety and environmental policy.
- Safety is a condition of employment.
- Through our global management systems we will exceed regulatory and other requirements as well as promote continual improvement of performance a wellness and zeroinjury culture and pollution prevention.
Required Skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a working knowledge and ability to proficiently demonstrate that knowledge and skill in the following areas:
- Obtain a fork lift and scissor lift license.
- Equipment meets safety standards.
- Minimum maintenance work experience 3 years post apprenticeship.
- Experienced with electrical maintenance including low voltage control wiring 3 phase wiring and troubleshooting 480v AC & DC motors and Drives. Capable of installing professional looking conduit runs to code.
- Experience with plant 480v power distribution systems including busway disconnects Bus plugs and power transformers.
- Hydraulic system function maintenance and troubleshooting to include valves accumulators cylinders and pressure switches.
- Pneumatic system function maintenance and troubleshooting to include: valves accumulators cylinders and pressure switches.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Performs other assignments as required by Maintenance Supervision.
- Must maintain accurate maintenance records.
PREFERRED
- PLC Programming and troubleshooting experience.
- Journeyman status achieved through an apprenticeship program.
- Experience with progressive and transfer stamping presses and coil feed equipment.
- OSHA training in power press safety.
Required Education
- EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED preferred.
