Job Description

Job Title: Functional Analyst I

Client: Health Care Insurance
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Fairfax VA 22031 (100% remote however the resource must reside in District of Columbia Maryland Virginia(DMV))

Purpose:

Provides Operations Support by obtaining facts analyzing problems designing solutions developing testing methods conducting and documenting tests and providing operating information to customers.

Essential functions:

  • 50% Research and Improvement:
    • Examine and research systems problems by obtaining facts.
    • Analyze problems/identify root causes.
    • Recommend and facilitate resolutions.
  • 20% Operations Support:
    • Provide operating information to customers.
    • Answer questions and provide training.
  • 20% Operations Analysis and Documentation:
    • Welcome related different and new requests.
    • Help others accomplish job results.
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other essential documentation.
  • 5% Verification:
    • Develop testing methods.
    • Conduct and document tests.
  • 5% Knowledge Improvement:
    • Attend training sessions.
    • Read technical publications.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.   • Education Level: Bachelors Degree
  • Education Details: Business Administration
  • Experience: 2 years experience in (level 2 or above) operational role.

In Lieu of Education:

  • In lieu of a Bachelors degree an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Additional Skills:

  • Medical Claims Processing billing and coding experience required (5 years).

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to recognize analyze and solve a variety of problems proficiently.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and similar applications.
  • Organized and detailoriented while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently.
