Solution Architect

Role:

• Define a shared technical and architectural vision focused on creating technical alignment for the full solution rather than concerns for specific components
• Contextualize strategic vision and direction; conduct analysis identify opportunities constraints and support strategic activities related to development and management of solutions
• Analyze design develop and maintain roadmaps and implementation plans
• Review analyze and facilitate stakeholder understanding of business and technology implication of future direction; influence decisions
• Translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints and document all solution architecture design and analysis.
• Create architectural design to guide and contextualize solution development across initiatives that aligns with business and IT goals.
• Evaluate design and analyze the implementation of solutions
• Provide necessary leadership analysis and design tasks related to the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards
• Develop architectural artefacts and maintain the toolbox including principles guidelines standards etc.
• Ensure relevant technical strategies policies standards and practices are applied correctly across Technology programs/projects and products.
• Identify interdependencies and use holistic thinking to ensure the crossteam perspective. Provide consulting support around solution architecture to teams to ensure a product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture
• Evaluate and drive continuous improvement reducing technical debt and enhancing end1toend business value.
• Participate in internal and external activities related to technology matching and selection to ensure technology choice aligns with overall tech architecture and business strategy
• Work continuously with incorporating broader aspects such as overall product costs/revenue data privacy & sovereignty business continuity information security integration with other systems etc
• Provide guidance and coaching to stakeholders to advise on options risks costs vs. benefits impact priorities etc.
• Facilitate best practice sharing and teach architecture thinking to engineering and delivery community Handle Incident management investigation and digital forensics

Skills and Abilities:

• Provide architecture leadership and collaborate with the implementation team and other crossfunctional teams for effective hand off of work to streamline the transition from design to project.
• Provide technical design and quality reviews at various milestones throughout project lifecycles.
• While being a specialist in a particular area of our architecture you also have a width across a specific set of disciplines within the domain.
• Understand and visualize concepts that are not yet concrete identify patterns and use your problemsolving skills strong analytic ability creativity and customer and business drive to find a solution and win support for your ideas.
• Able to create both highlevel and lowlevel design documentation and technical specifications.
• Able to evaluate and develop governance structures methodologies and compliance measures.
• Experience in architecting/designing solutions built on cloud ideally but not limited to Google cloud platform & Azure.
• Experience in migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
• Provide insight regarding industry technology trends and new technologies assess their fit for purpose given business requirements and architectural guidelines.
• Ability to take the initiative and identify and address existing and potential obstacles issues and opportunities.
• Show commitment and ownership and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective team player that can express the importance of technical concepts and quality emerging technologies ideas feelings opinions and conclusions to peers and people with an only limited technical background and contribute positively to your team environment
