Job Description

Job Purpose:
To oversees the planning execution and coordination of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) projects. Key roles include ensuring safety quality and timely completion of construction activities managing resources effectively mitigating risks and maintaining communication with stakeholders. Also focus on cost control documentation and continuous improvement to deliver successful HVDC projects while prioritizing customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Job responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive construction plans schedules and budgets for HVDC projects considering all relevant factors such as scope resources and timelines.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with engineering teams subcontractors vendors and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and alignment throughout the construction process.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively including labor equipment and materials to optimize productivity and meet project objectives within budgetary constraints.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards specifications and regulatory requirements for HVDC infrastructure.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations conducting regular inspections and audits to mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Risk Management: Identify assess and mitigate project risks proactively implementing contingency plans as necessary to minimize disruptions and maximize project success.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor construction progress closely tracking key performance indicators milestones and deliverables to identify any deviations from the plan and take corrective action as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication channels with internal teams external partners and project stakeholders providing regular updates on project status issues and resolutions.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project expenses closely identifying costsaving opportunities and implementing cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all construction activities including reports drawings permits and other relevant records to facilitate project tracking and compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications Experience & Skills/Competencies
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering Construction Management or related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on HVDC projects preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVDC systems equipment and construction methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Certification in construction management (e.g. PMP) is a plus.

  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends to meet project deadlines.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety quality and professionalism.
