Job Description
Paradigm is searching for a Technical Writer to support our client a leader in the audiovisual industry. The Technical Writer will edit and publish articles manage document updates and user manuals and handle urgent revisions for accuracy and compliance.
Type: 3 month contract
Location: Beaverton OR Onsite

As a Technical Writer you will:
- Edit and publish Cornerstone articles.
- Manage NPI projects requiring updates to existing documents or creation of similar variants of current user manuals including Scatter Plot Storyteller and Sunshine.
- Handle urgent updates to user manuals to address compliance issues significant typography corrections and incorrect technical information.
- Update help files (Adobe RoboHelp proficiency required).
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- 2 3 years of experience in technical writing.
- Proficient with Adobe InDesign.
- Proficient with Office applications including Word and Outlook.
- Proficient with common content management and version control systems such as SharePoint Git or TortoiseSVN.
- Document drafts submitted for editorial review are of high quality with few typographical mistakes and no egregious technical information errors.
- Proficient in interview techniques for subject matter experts and product development team members.
- Proficient at explaining technical information quickly and clearly in conversations.
- Proficient at extrapolating relevant information from engineering source documents communications with subject matter experts and handson product use.
- Adobe RoboHelp is a huge plus.
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or experience with similar image processing software is a plus.
- Proficient or familiar with CAD rendering software such as SolidWorks Composer is a plus.
- Does not require frequent supervision and consults with supervisor or other writers as needed.
