Network Security Engineer

Job Summary:

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining network security solutions to protect our organization from cyber threats. This role requires expertise in network security principles technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and manage network security solutions including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) VPNs and web security gateways.
• Perform security assessments and audits of network infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and security threats; analyze and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Configure and manage security policies access controls and encryption protocols.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCIDSS).
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network security infrastructure and related systems.
• Stay updated with emerging threats and security technologies to recommend and implement proactive security solutions.
• Document security configurations procedures and incident response plans.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CCNA Security) preferred.
• Minimum of 57 years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role.
• Deep understanding of network protocols architecture and security principles.
• Handson experience with network security technologies and tools (e.g. Cisco ASA Palo Alto Firewalls SIEM solutions).
• Experience with cloud security (e.g. AWS Azure) and microsegmentation is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
