As a Management Accountant you will take a handson approach to ensure timely completion of both internal and external monthly and quarterly finance deadlines. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of finance activities including approving client invoices preparing monthly management accounts conducting budgeting and cashflow forecasting managing ledgers and journals reconciling banking accounts and maintaining debtor and creditor accounts.

• Handle all aspects of the monthend close process and produce the monthly management accounts for the clients businesses.
  
• Prepare monthly financial data including Profit & Loss accounts Balance Sheets and Cashflow forecasts and collaborate with key stakeholders to provide context for the numbers.
  
• Validate information against budgets to support management pack commentary and explain business drivers influencing changes.
  
• Produce and consolidate operational metrics regularly for the clients businesses to support financial analysis and clarify revenue and cost drivers.
  
• Prepare reforecasts and annual budgets analyzing trends and identifying business opportunities and risks. Liaise with owners and clients on all budgeting and forecasting matters.
  
• Assist in creating and maintaining longterm business plans.
  
• Provide financial and commercial information to key stakeholders to assess the feasibility of project initiatives.
  
• Proactively provide financial and commercial support to key stakeholders demonstrating a strong understanding of their business needs.
  
• Assist in establishing robust financial practices and processes to ensure clients have access to reliable financial information for evaluating engagement profitability.
  
• Undertake ad hoc financial commercial and operational projects as required.
  

Requirements

Qualifications That Speak Numbers:

• Ideally possess an appropriate accounting qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
  
• Substantial experience in producing management accounts.
  
• Experience in preparing and analyzing budgets/forecasts.
  
• Experience in preparing and analyzing job costing/job profitability.
  
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly strong Excel skills.
  
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
