Job Description

Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer (Hybrid)
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
SUMMARY

Responsible for collecting analyzing and displaying data so that City of Atlanta groups and teams can use data to achieve city goals. Also responsible for evaluating data to identify system gaps process inefficiencies and company risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties as assigned:

  • Business Intelligence Expert
  • Provide business intelligence leadership
  • Provide City of Atlanta KPI measurement support
  • Create data cubes and data mart to support Executive leaders information needs
  • Data Architecture
  • Lead the strategic data analysis direction at the City of Atlanta
  • Groom and remediate data gaps
  • Lead charge to implement Master Data Modeling in the Data Warehouse and operating source systems
  • Data Governance Leadership
  • Analyze report requests
  • Chair Data Stewardship Committee


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Experience:

  • 5 years of overall development experience
  • 5 years of ETL development experience
  • 5 years of SQL development experience
  • 5 years of Data warehouse development and maintenance experience
  • 5 years if data analysis experience
  • 10 years Excel


NicetoHave Experience:

  • Tableau
  • Informatica
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Microsoft Power Query
  • Domo
  • SSRS

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 4 years of college or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to understand and communicate English. Accurate spelling grammar punctuation capitalization and business writing and editing are essential. Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS
A strong proficiency in CRM Microsoft Word and Excel a must. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Use of simple copiers and office machines necessary. Typing skills required at no less than 55 words per minute.
