Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Civil Company: PILLARS Location: Kampala Central Region Uganda Contract Details: Fulltime PILLARS is a leading engineering and construction company based in Kampala Uganda. We specialize in providing innovative and sustainable solutions in the fields of civil engineering mechanical engineering and project management. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer Civil to join our team in Kampala. As a Mechanical Engineer Civil you will be responsible for designing developing and implementing mechanical systems and processes for various construction projects. You will work closely with our team of engineers and project managers to ensure that all projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical systems and processes for construction projects including HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems. Conduct feasibility studies and costbenefit analyses for mechanical systems and processes. Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications. Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure that all mechanical systems are integrated into the overall project design. Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of construction and ensure that all mechanical systems are installed according to design specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction process. Ensure that all mechanical systems comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Keep uptodate with advancements in mechanical engineering technology and techniques. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering preferably in the construction industry. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
