Job Description

What you will work on:

  • Strategy & execution: Developing and executing supply chain and distribution strategies that align with the overall goals and objectives of the company to ensure identifying opportunities for cost savings, reducing lead times, maintain stock levels and improving supplier relationships.

  • Oversee the entire supply chain & Operations process including planning, procurement, expediting, logistics (inbound and outbound), warehousing and distribution; This includes monitoring delivery schedules, proactively addressing any potential delays, and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of delivery status to ensure that the company is meeting its commitments and building strong, long-lasting relationships with its customers.

  • Payment Planning: Develop and implement strategies in Coordination with the finance department to Forecast future cash requirements based on upcoming vendor payments and analyze the company's cash flow to ensure that funds are available for necessary payments and ensure vendors are paid in timely manner.

  • Overseeing the procurement process to ensure the procured materials are procured from the right source, at the right cost, and with the right quality, to meet the company's needs. This includes conducting supplier due dalliance, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and continuously monitoring supplier performance to minimize the risks associated with procurement and ensure that the company is receiving the best possible value for its procurement spend.

  • Managing the company's freight costs, ensuring that goods are being transported in the most cost-effective manner possible. This includes negotiating rates with transportation providers, consolidation of shipments, continuously monitoring freight costs, and implementing measures to reduce freight costs while maintaining delivery schedules to ensure that the company is transporting goods in the most cost-effective manner possible, while maintaining delivery schedules and customer satisfaction.

  • Internal Processes: Improve internal supply chain processes and systems including software and automation tools, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations in order to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve the overall performance of the supply chain, while enabling data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.

  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, including trade and import/export regulations, customs laws, this includes staying up to date with changes in regulations, conducting risk assessments, and taking actions to ensure compliance and to avoiding legal and financial risks, and for maintaining the company's reputation.

Your Areas of Expertise:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Master's degree in supply chain management or an MBA with a focus on operations management or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of total work experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
  • Managerial experience: 3+ Experience in managing or supervising is required.
  • Relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry is also highly preferred.
  • Experience using supply chain management software, such as SAP or other ERP systems, is essential.
  • Experience and skills in project management are required.
  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies can be valuable.
  • Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and other technical tools.
  • Specific industry knowledge is necessary, such as knowledge of regulations and standards such import/export requirement and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Understanding the unique challenges and requirements of supply chain management in oil and gas is essential.
  • Basic Knowledge of accounting and financial management is essential .
  • A strong understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts and best practices is necessary, including experience with supply chain management systems, Freight and logistics, and warehouse management systems.
  • Legal and commercial awareness.
  • Understanding of how to use SAP modules in additional to SAP reporting and analytics tools.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) or any related certificate is a plus.
