Role Overview

We are looking for a handson Principal Engineer with expertise in AWS and modern engineering practice. You will have been exposed to .Net and/or Java and be comfortable working in this environment.

You will have strong knowledge of frontend and backend development. If you do not call yourself a fullstack engineer yet you are certainly on your way to becoming one.

We need senior experience to provide architectural expertise and leadership across all teams. This role reports directly to the CTO and you will be influential in optimising our processes and driving innovation.

Role Responsibilities

• Familiarise with the team and identify opportunities for improvement
• Introduce new technology and innovation
• Help set up the AWS structure and implement a culture of agile working
• Mentor and coach other engineers

General Responsibilities

• Architectural Design: Design scalable reliable and secure microservices. Ensure integration between Java and .Net components
• Technology Stack Decision: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools. Advocate best practices for AWS Java and .Net
• Code Quality and Standards: Establish coding standards conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to ensure highquality code
• Performance Optimisation: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimise resource usage and performance of AWS services

• Excellent documentation skills (Confluence)
• Collaborative with a strong personality to work with diverse teams
• Cloudnative microservices environment experience is a plus

1. Screening Call: This is with our recruiter. The goal is to find out more about you give you full clarity on the role and answer any questions you may have.
2. Technical Call: this will assess your technical experience coding ability and focus on your microservices and cloud expertise.
3. Final Call: A discussion with our CTO
