Nickel Operation Mandarin Senior Logistics Operation Specialist

About the Company:

Our client was restructured from several supply chain service and went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2011. The companys main business is supply chain management and logistics services logistics platform development and operation. Resources: Commodity procurement and supply business mainly feature plastic chemicals metal minerals agricultural products forest products and mechanical and electrical products such as five general resins EVA fish meal whey powder palm oil latex steel nonferrous metals automobiles etc.

The Nickel Logistics Operation Specialist will be primarily based in our Jakarta office with frequent travel to outer islands particularly Sulawesi. This role requires spending at least half of each month on business trips to oversee operations. We offer allowances for work conducted outside Jakarta.

Job Requirements:

1. Nationality and Language Skills:

   • Must be an Indonesian national.
   • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Indonesian and English.
   • Proficiency in Chinese is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage.

2. Adaptability and Travel:

   • Must be willing and able to adapt to frequent business trips to outer islands.
   • Priority will be given to candidates with experience in nickel ore sampling and loading and unloading supervision.
   • Candidates willing to be stationed longterm on outer islands will be highly preferred.

3. Technical Proficiency:

   • Proficient in using relevant office software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
   • Familiarity with Indonesian and Chinese business chat software (e.g. WhatsApp WeChat) is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

1. OnSite Supervision:

   • Oversee the onsite sampling loading and unloading of nickel ore (or ferronickel) to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
   • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of sampling methods and loading/unloading processes.

2. Documentation and Coordination:

   • Collect organize and ensure the proper handover of all relevant onsite documents.
   • Coordinate with onsite teams and provide timely feedback on any issues or challenges encountered during the shipment of goods.
   • Maintain accurate records of all onsite activities and report regularly to management.

3. Customer and Stakeholder Communication:

   • Assist the business manager in managing communication and interactions with Indonesian customers.
   • Facilitate smooth exchanges and negotiations with stakeholders ensuring clear and effective communication.

4. ProblemSolving:

   • Address and resolve any onsite problems or discrepancies that arise during operations.
   • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure prompt resolution of issues and maintain operational efficiency.

5. Additional Support:

   • Provide additional support to the business manager as needed including administrative tasks data analysis and project coordination.
