We are expanding our footprint in the United States and are growing our US Intelligence department. Our Samy US office is looking for a new Social Media Insights Analyst to join our Intelligence team.


Mission

As a Junior Social Media Insights analyst you ll be helping our senior research managers throughout every step of the research process. You will be heavily involved in finding and identifying interesting trends and relevant creators.

Each day will be different but the focus will remain the same: creating quality work insights and reports that enable our clients to accelerate their business. Projects you are likely going to be involved in will be social listening and digital media research reports analyzing the category brands and audiences especially for our clients in the fashion and beauty industry.

You will learn to create your own reports from data curation to processing and applying advanced analytics solutions as well as how to write impactful reports. You will learn how to communicate the insights from the analysis in a compelling way addressing our clients research and business questions their challenges and their objectives.

You will be agile in your approach able to manage your time with ease work very well under pressure and be comfortable with fast turnaround times. The tools you will be involved with include Sprinklr Synthesio/Radarly Facebook Insights Twitter Analytics YouGov Global Web Index and a range of other sources.

You will be expected to present your ideas with confidence both internally and with clients. You ll be sitting within the US Intelligence team and reporting directly to our Head of Research & Insights.


Job Functions

  • Support senior members of the Intelligence team with various research tasks from data querying to trends analysis and insights report generation
  • Generating relevant data sets through boolean queries across different data sources
  • Trends analysis utilizing internal tools from social listening to video content analysis to identify relevant trends and creators / influencers that are driving these trends
  • Audience behavior analysis using a blend of research methods and internal tools to profile and add depth to target audiences
  • Creation of data visualizations to bring the data story to life
  • Lead creation of industry reports and pitch proactive ideas for indepth research based on industry trends
  • Contribute to monthly client deliveries e.g. trend reports through social listening and digital trends analysis
  • Work closely with the Data Science team to apply advanced analytics methodologies for more efficient and granular analysis
  • Collaborate with internal strategy and creative departments to support truly datadriven ideas and creative campaigns


What you will learn in this role

  • Proficiency in advanced data curation from boolean queries to data audits to deriving recommendations of how to analyze the data
  • Insights generation and storytelling; how to transform data points and observations into actionable and relevant insights that drive business impact
  • Wellversed in utilizing several different tools standard social listening tools as well as our internal suite for for advanced analytics
  • Understanding of seeing projects from conception to delivery (project scoping execution and client presentations)




Requirements

  • 12 years of experience working at marketing or advertising agencies in Strategy or Insights or Social Media roles e.g. internship / junior placement
  • University degree (Marketing Advertising Psychology Communications)
  • Previous use of social listening and digital analytics tools (Sprinklr Radarly Brandwatch TikTok Analytics etc.)
  • A keen interest in major social platforms and the digital trends landscape
  • Immersed in all things social media knowledgeable about social media trends
  • Basic understanding of statistics and basic understanding of data visualizations
  • Strong interest in learning how to transform data into actionable insights
  • Interest / experience in the beauty industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and presenting
  • Incredibly strong attention to detail and insatiable curiosity
  • A team player and highly communicative
  • Selfstarter driving forward initiatives and ideas
  • Flourish in a fastpaced startup environment
  • Fluency in English additional languages are a plus
  • Proficiency in office suite (Microsoft 365 suite Google Suite)
